Our time has finally come… here we are launching Bloom Sessions!
We wish you a warm welcome, come in, get comfy, forget about doing the laundry or that yoga video you’ve been putting off, and just feel those stresses of daily life drift away…
But first, let us introduce ourselves! We are a youth-run project, currently a team of three, which aims to celebrate and encourage the creativity of women and people of marginalised genders in North Yorkshire. We are sponsored by the wonderful people at NYMAZ and Youth Music, who have allowed us to follow our own instincts (for better or worse!) and create a programme of which we are proud to stand by.
Now more than ever we need to support our highly skilled, vibrant artistic communities. We hope to do this from the ground up, by sowing seeds and nurturing talent in a safe environment to allow musicians and illustrators alike to bloom.
Therefore, every month for 5 months, we will be featuring one musician/band as well as one illustrator/visual artist. We’ll be regularly producing digital content for you to feast your eyes and ears upon, so please stick around – there is some wonderful talent in and around North Yorkshire and we want can’t wait to share it with you.
