About

Bloom Sessions is a creative project dedicated to young women and those of marginalised genders in Yorkshire.

Co-founded by two friends with a real passion for music, art and diversity – please do come in and get comfortable!

Between October 2020-March 2021, we worked within North Yorkshire. Bloom Sessions was fortunate to be sponsored by the wonderful people at NYMAZ and showcased six illustrators, six musicians and one band. We’re so fortunate they put their trust in us and we can’t wait to keep spotlighting talented individuals in ‘God’s own county’.

In June 2021, we announced that Leeds Inspired allowed Bloom Sessions to continue, funding a summer ’21 project include two live gigs! (Yes!!! Live music!!!!!!) We thoroughly enjoyed hosting Gordian Stimm, Sofa King, FIKA, Sam Brown, Marnie Glum and The Sound of Modesty at Wharf Chambers – and thank you if you came along! Last, but not least, we must thank Fev and Janice for their help in generating the summer ’21 visuals.

Now, onto the next…

A huge thanks to everyone who has followed us on this journey, we believe it’s just the beginning. There is talent in Yorkshire and we want to provide a safe, inclusive, influential platform to encourage women and people of marginalised genders to bloom.
